Together we can make a difference
At Khanyisa Centre, we provide therapeutic and educational intervention for children from birth to fifteen years of age who have different needs (one or more special needs).
We believe that all children have strengths and potential, and we are passionate about uncovering this potential. Every child also has the ability to learn and excel if they are provided with appropriate learning opportunities. They can then grow to become contributing members of society who have responsibilities and rights.
We do not discriminate against race, religion or any disability, and we have a fully inclusive acceptance policy, with the best interests of the child in mind.

Every child’s development is unique, this is even more pertinent at Khanyisa. We individualize every goal, every step of the way. Hundreds of hours of a professional’s time and resources go towards actualizing the goals for each child to facilitate them uncovering their potential. And then when the children at Khanyisa accomplish their goals, big or small, we celebrate!

If you have a passion for children, a passion for helping, then you have found the right place. At Khanyisa we are committed to uncovering our student’s potential every day, but we can’t do it alone. We need extra hands every single day in order to help us achieve our vision. So we are always looking for loving volunteers at Khanyisa.
We provide training for all our volunteers so that they can start off on the right foot. Whether it is in the classroom, at an event, or using a specific skill they have, there is a place for everyone to volunteer.
